Size: Huge... I have to go measure it when I get it back from the De Young Museum
This is part of my series, opposite "Into the Dark." The images hanging on the wall are all from the outside world, which is a huge contrast because the whole entire painting itself focuses on the crowded, interior room. In this painting I wanted to show how crowded the room is while outside the door there exists space and freedom. The images on the wall emphasizes the longing for freedom and the only way to get it is to go "Into the Light."
(Okay, not to be too dramatic, but I was stuck in that room for ages and all I wanted to do was escape. The fumes were giving me a headache, but all the pain and suffering paid off
The door's open! Run for it!
Hope you all like it.
This painting is part of my AP Art Studio Portfolio.
This is so wonderful. I absolutely love your oil paints. Very very masterful. Keep going! AP shall be over soon. Be sure to enjoy a good lunch after. ^^

She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

It looks sort of like the room's falling through that door... like the furniture's running away... sort of.
